Project Engineer | Civil Engineering

Location: Utica, Michigan

We’re partnered with a well-established civil engineering firm looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their growing team in Utica, Michigan. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of exciting land development and infrastructure projects while working with a collaborative engineering team.

What You’ll Do

Lead civil engineering projects from design through completion
Prepare and review site plans, construction drawings, and technical reports
Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway improvements
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and design quality
Coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and consultants
Lead and mentor engineers, CAD technicians, and project team members
Manage permitting requirements and regulatory approvals
Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress
Assist with proposals, project presentations, and client relationships

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
5-10 years of civil engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with land development, site design, and infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management
Knowledge of local codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements
Experience leading technical teams and coordinating projects
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
