A collaborative, national award-winning Architectural Practice is looking to appoint a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their Leeds City Centre studio.
The successful Senior Architectural Technologist will play a key role in the technical delivery and coordination of projects, contributing to the continued growth of a well-established practice employing 60+ staff across five national offices. The team has been accredited to an Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard and is recognised as one of the highest-performing architecture practices on the IIP international database.

A number of projects are also located within conservation areas or incorporate significant heritage elements.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Architectural Technologist
- Take a leading role in the technical delivery of projects from developed design through to construction and completion.
- Produce, coordinate, and oversee high-quality planning, tender, and construction drawing packages, schedules, specifications, and technical information.
- Lead or take significant responsibility for project delivery across RIBA Stages 3-5.
- Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP, specialist consultants, contractors, and other members of the wider design team.
- Attend and contribute to client, consultant, contractor, and site meetings, providing confident technical input where required.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and ensure projects comply with relevant UK Building Regulations, standards, and technical requirements.
- Review construction information and resolve technical and detailing issues throughout the delivery process.
- Support project programmes, deadlines, and resourcing to ensure technical information is delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior Architectural Technologists and other members of the project team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technical standards, BIM procedures, and best practice across the studio.
- Maintain a strong focus on buildability, quality, coordination, and design intent throughout project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced Architectural Technologist, ideally with 5+ years’ experience working within a UK Architectural Practice or similar consultancy environment.
- CIAT membership or progress towards Chartered Architectural Technologist status would be advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects through detailed design and construction stages.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction standards, planning requirements, and technical detailing.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design information and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience taking ownership of drawing packages and technical deliverables on medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing, and buildability.
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative studio environment.
- Experience using Revit is highly desirable, with a good understanding of BIM workflows and coordinated project delivery.
