This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing Multi-Disciplinary Architectural & Engineering Consultancy based in Sheffield, working on an exciting portfolio of new-build leisure developments across the UK.

With over 150 years of industry expertise, our client has established an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative and commercially successful design solutions across a diverse range of sectors. Their portfolio includes projects within Retail, Commercial Workplace, Leisure, Mixed-Use Residential, and the wider Living Sector.

Operating from a modern, recently refurbished Sheffield studio, the practice is home to a collaborative team of more than 80 architects, technologists, engineers, and design professionals who work together to deliver high-quality projects nationwide.

The Opportunity

Due to a growing workload and continued business success, the practice is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their established team. You'll play a key role in the technical development and delivery of predominantly new-build leisure projects, gaining valuable exposure to projects from concept through to construction.

This position would suit a motivated Architectural Technologist looking to further develop their technical expertise, expand their project responsibilities, and progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the technical delivery of new-build leisure projects across the UK.

  • Produce accurate technical drawings, construction details, and project documentation using AutoCAD.

  • Support project delivery through RIBA Stages 2-5.

  • Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and current industry standards.

  • Coordinate information with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams.

  • Contribute to the production of technical specifications and construction packages.

  • Maintain high standards of technical quality and project delivery throughout all stages of the design process.

Requirements

  • Degree, HNC, or HND qualified in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice.

  • Strong AutoCAD proficiency is essential.

  • Experience working on UK-based projects, ideally within the Leisure sector or similar commercial project types.

  • Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
