Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects?



Conrad Consulting is working with a leading UK infrastructure contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support major projects across rail, aviation, defence and other safety-critical sectors.



This is an opportunity to take a senior commercial role across high-profile projects, working with major clients and multidisciplinary teams while playing a key role in delivering essential UK infrastructure.



The Role



As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take a lead role in the commercial and financial management of projects, from pre-construction through to final account.



Key responsibilities will include:



  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets and forecasts
  • Leading commercial and contract administration
  • Managing procurement and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks
  • Preparing and presenting monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
  • Managing change and ensuring recovery of additional cost and/or time
  • Supporting project teams with commercial and financial reporting
  • Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Mentoring and supporting junior Quantity Surveyors
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme


About You



You’ll ideally have:



  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering or infrastructure
  • Experience across rail, aviation, defence, highways or other safety-critical environments
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management experience
  • Excellent cost management, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience producing and presenting CVRs
  • Strong knowledge of change management and procurement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commercial/cost management systems
  • MRICS or CICES accreditation would be advantageous
