Conrad Consulting is recruiting an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support a major infrastructure programme in Milton Keynes.

The role will focus on cost verification and auditing subcontractor costs across a major supply chain, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional with a strong rail and audit background.

The Role

You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying subcontractor costs, providing commercial assurance and challenging cost information where required.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing subcontractor costs and commercial submissions.
• Undertaking cost verification and audit activity.
• Providing robust commercial assurance.
• Identifying discrepancies and challenging costs where appropriate.
• Supporting commercial reporting and governance.
• Working with project and supply chain stakeholders.
• Applying NEC contractual knowledge to commercial assessments.

About You

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Significant commercial management experience.
• Previous rail infrastructure experience.
• Strong cost audit / cost verification experience.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor costs.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• The confidence to challenge commercial information constructively.

Candidates will be required to undertake a client interview and approval process before appointment.
